Why Hello There!

I’m so stinkin’ excited you are here! If you haven’t already figured it out, I’m Katherine! A small town girl, married to my best friend, Waylen, momma to a sweet baby girl, Harper & a fur-momma to our goofball of a corgi, Dolly. I believe a good pair of boots complete any outfit and that handwritten notes will never be out of style. Hunting is my favorite season, other than wedding season, and you can often find me tagging along on the many adventures at our family cabin. I am a lover of the sun, a well told story (bonus points if it’s a funny one!), classic country music, quirky coffee mugs, and making our fixer upper house into a home.

Most days you can find me chasing my busy toddler around the house while squeezing in emails and editing at the kitchen table during nap time. This has been a new season of growth for myself and my business with adding the role of motherhood, but I am so grateful for this little business and the ability to be both a photographer & a mama! When I’m not working, (if you can even call it that. I love what I do! ) you can most likely find me headed to our family cabin, spending time with my little family, catching up with a friend over coffee, or scheming up our next house project.

Waylen and I have been married for over 5 years now, but the I still remember the feelings of getting engaged, planning our wedding day (in only 4 months!) and the nervous-excited-can’t believe the day is finally here-feelings of our wedding day. I truly feel SO grateful to be invited into each of my couples lives, and do not take lightly the honor that that is!

My goal is to document my couples happiest of moments in a way that is natural, fun, and unobtrusive. Relationships are super important to me and I consider each of my couples as friends. Marrying Waylen is one of the biggest highlights of my life, so you can be sure I am going to be my couples biggest cheerleader and celebrate along side each and every one as they make the commitment to love and cherish each other for the rest of their lives.

I love how a bride radiates grace and beauty as she looks in the mirror in her wedding gown, how a groom looks when he sees his bride for the first time, the endless smiles and teary glances across the aisle from family members, and that moment of pure bliss when a bride and groom exit the ceremony to wrap each other up in their arms, knowing they finally are husband and wife.

I know for a fact that I am so very lucky to do what I do, and I will never tire of celebrating alongside of each and every couple!
