Ashley & Mike | A Valley Road Vineyards Wedding | Afton, VA

A fact some of you might not know was that I once called Charlottesville, Virginia home after I graduated college. But in all honestly, even though I might not physically live in Virginia anymore, it will always have a piece of my heart :) During my time in Virginia, I met some of my favorite people and made some of my favorite memories ever and some of those memories involved Ashley. Ashley is all things sweet and dear, so you can imagine how excited I was when she reached out about her engagement to Mike!

Ashley & Mike got married at the beautiful Valley Road Vineyards and had the most perfect warm and sunny day! One of the things I love most about Virginia are the Blue Ridge Mountains, which provide an ethereal backdrop for a wedding day and Valley Road Vineyards boasted the perfect view!

As always, a few of my favorite things!

-This day consisted of the sweetest gift exchanges! Ashley gifted Mike a unique bottle of Van Winkle Bourbon, which was a huge surprise to Mike since you have to actually enter a lottery just to be able to purchase it! Ashley’s momma gifted her an anklet, and Ashley gifted her father a pair of custom cufflinks.

-I loved how Mike, Ashley and Ashley’s daughter, Madee all joined together and celebrated the joining of their family by combining paint colors on a canvas.

- Ashley & Mike had one of the most fun bridal parties! The group jumping photo is a personal favorite ;)

-They included the southern tradition of burying a bottle of bourbon and digging it up on their wedding day! It was quite the party as they all passed the bottle around!

-Their dances! I’m always a sucker for a first dance and parent dances, but these two, along with their friends and family had the dance floor filled all night long! Ashley & Mike also ended the night with a slow dance - just the two of em :)

Ashley & Mike, thank you SO much for letting me be a part of your big day! I had so much fun celebrating along side of you and it was such an honor! Wishing you a lifetime of love and happiness!
