Rachel & Matthew | An Elegant Bicycle & Blue Themed Wedding | Lauxmont Farms
Rachel & Matthew are one of those couples who are always down for an adventure and are also one of the most “go with the flow” type of couple. This was very evident from their engagement session (you can view their cozy cabin engagement session here), where they made the trek to my in law’s hunting cabin. Not only did they agree to meet me in what some people would consider “the middle of nowhere”, but they also trusted me that I was actually taking them to a cabin at the end of a very long and windy gravel lane ;) We had so much fun during their engagement session that I just knew their big day was going to be a blast too.
They got married at the scenic Lauxmont Farms with rolling hills and one of the best views of the Susquehanna River. The sky threatened some serious rain, but we were blessed with only a few misty showers and the ceremony was able to still take place outside. There were so many parts about this day that I loved, so I will just list a few highlights :)
One of my favorite moments was Rachel’s sweet first look with all of her bridesmaids. A first look with all of your best gals is definitely one of my favorite moments right along with a first look with future spouse and/or father. Rachel is definitely blessed with some of the most fun sisters/sister-friends ever.
Another favorite moment was getting to hang out with the horses that roam the fields at Lauxmont Farms. Maybe it was just because I have been on a “Heartland” binge, but I was pumped when these horses joined in for some fun photos.
We had a bit of extra time before the reception, so we all jumped in the car and adventured across the road to High Point (a scenic park that overlooks another part of the river), where we frolicked through the fields, ran up a hill, and took advantage of the view and moody skies.
Rachel & Matthew’s bicycle theme was adorable and they incorporated it in so many fun ways, including on their invitations!
And last but not least, these two had the most fun family, friends, guests, and vendors for their big day. It was certainly one for the books!
Rachel & Matthew, thank you so much for letting me be a part of your big day! It was truly an honor! I wish you both the best as you embark on the adventure of marriage :)
